The double-sided silk scarf “Snow Leopard” features an original print by artist Almagul Menlibayeva, created as part of her collaboration with WE NERA.
At the centre of the composition are two pearl-like snow leopards set within a shimmering mountain landscape where the imagery of mountains and cosmos comes together. For the artist, the snow leopard is a meaningful symbol — an emblem of Central Asia and part of the region’s fragile natural ecosystem.
Throughout the series, the snow leopard and its surrounding environment are presented as a single whole, reflecting the connection between people and nature and drawing attention to the threat posed by melting glaciers. The scarf itself is conceived both as a wearable accessory and as an independent art object.
